Unable to access hour of code world
Hi there,
I run a minecraft club in school and I tried to get my pupils to have a go at the hour of code: time pieces activity. They are using iPads.
When starting a new world, the following message appears: A new version of the game has saved this level. It cannot be loaded.
I have used the activity with other students on their profiles but it has not worked for any in my club.

Have you tried deleting the world from the devices? If you are using the same sign-in on multiple devices, you may be having already-solved worlds loaded from your drive. Just a thought.
Remember that your iPads may not be on the same version as other devices which are signing in.

Hi Debbie,
Thanks for the suggestion.
Each pupil uses their own school email address to login. I know that these particular pupils have not had a go at the timecraft hour of code activity and have not already created the world.
Any other ideas?
Thanks again for the help.

I'm seeing this message pop up in a lot of places. Seems to be mostly chromebooks, but I'm seeing some instances of it on Windows PC and iPad as well. Seems to be happening to a lot of users at home whether accessed from the website or the in-game library.
Penny, has this issue been raised with support yet? Haven't been able to identify a specific root cause yet.
Kieran Fradd, what I've done is download the .mcworld file for the activity, shared it with the teachers and they can share it with their class via Google Drive. Maybe someone at your school/district has access and can download the file?

From what I am seeing this issue might be caused if different client versions have been installed. I would check the devices and see what version they are running. This can be done by opening Minecraft Education and at the bottom right of the screen you will see what version it is running. Our current version is 1.17.31 and I would recommend updating all devices to be on the same version. Let me know your findings.
