    Hey there Dalmiro Vilca!

Henry had made a separate ticket which I am helping them over there.

This error is unfortunately plaguing us all at the moment. The team is aware and looking into a solution. Currently at this time, you can try to download from the Windows Store (link at the very bottom of this page: https://education.minecraft.net/en-us/get-started/download ) if you are a Windows user.

That has worked for others on this forum. Let us know if it works for you!

If you would like, please input a ticket with our support team and we will help you there with this. Below is a potential fix you can try:

    • Uninstall all versions of Minecraft: Education Edition (back up any worlds you need to)
    • Navigate to: https://education.minecraft.net/en-us/get-started/download
    • Scroll down past the Windows, Chromebook or Android, Mac and Iphone/Ipad options. Click "download from the Windows Store"
    • Try and download the update from the Windows Store.

Same here.  Tried all the fixes.  Including uninstalling everything and installing from the store but no go.

Checked the firewall settings and everything is allowed!

    Hey there,

Those are good troubleshooting steps you have already taken. Do you by chance have multiple versions of Minecraft Education installed on your device?
Also, can you tell me the make and model of the device you are using and when the last time you were able to sign in on the device was?

  • A S

No, I do not have multiple versions of minecraft. It is a Lenovo Yoga and the last time I signed in it was November 1st.

    Hey there,

Could you share the detailed specs of the device?

    RAM / Storage / CPU?

I would like to compare them against the https://educommunity.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360047556591-System-Requirements

    Thanks!

Are you by chance using any custom mods/resource packs that may be making the game unstable?
Also, Is your operating system up to date?

    Yes

As far as I know, I don't think any mods / resource packs are causing the game to become unstable.

Was that 'Yes' in reference to the mods or the operating system being up to date?

How did you install Minecraft Education?
Through the Windows store or with the windows desktop installer?

my school's software center, because they do not allow microsoft store or even activating .exe files you downloaded

Thats unfortunate because I was going to suggest trying the .exe version. You could try uninstalling, making sure all all Minecraft Education files are deleted, and running a registry cleaner. You could also back up your data and try formatting the device if all else fails.

We did look into it, but because of the school district, we are not allowed to use the registry or format our devices.

    Hey there,

That is unfortunate, I would have suggested formatting the device or the .exe as well. I understand the formatting bit if that is because of the school district, but the .exe is simply a different file type. Is that not allowed as well?

No, because they think we'll install malware on other people's devices and install inappropriate things too.

    A S,

I think at this point, your best course of action is to reach out to your IT department and have them take a look. They are more than welcome to reach out to us is they cannot figure out this issue on there own, but it looks like you may not have enough permissions to troubleshoot this yourself.

    Okay.

IT didn't wanna help; says Minecraft is too distracting, so they won't help.

I am really sorry, but without admin permissions, there is not much more we can do here. Your IT department would need to be on board in order to continue troubleshooting.

    Hi, experiencing this exact issue.

Followed all troubleshooting steps above: Unistalled app. Checked for multiple installs, confirmed no multiple installs. Re-downloaded from Microsoft store and installed. But no fix.

On loading, after the Mojang Splash screen, screen goes black except for top right quadrant of screen which flashes red, then after 2 seconds program crashes.

Any furher ideas on how to fix???

    Absolutely,

First, could you tell me what OS you are running, and if using a Windows device, what version of Minecraft Education did you download (Windows store or desktop installer)
