Makecode projects deleted
Hello, I am having an issue with both my and my student's projects in Makecode disappearing. We are currently doing a hard backup to the computer, however, I have several classes who do not have the option to save to the computer on their Chromebooks and I am not sure how to retrieve old projects and save new ones.
Is it possible to retrieve projects that were being saved automatically on the server?

That will depend on how the server is setup. It may even be setup to delete files every so often to keep storage open. I would talk with your IT department about this server and see what settings are in place. The server may have a backup option where files can be retrieved with IT support. This feature though needs to be enabled before the files are removed in order to retrieve them.

Hi, Sade Wilson - Are you trying to save coding projects created in Makecode? The easiest way to be sure to keep them safe is to back them up every time you edit them.. It is simple and easy! After finishing a project, choose to Share, Publish and Copy and Save the link to your code: (on the Chromebook, your mail is just a click away. My students email themselves or me their code all the time!)
