Students signed in as educators
Hi there,
I have several students who have signed up as Educators, and thus, are unable to begin their building assignments. How do I resolve this problem?

Also, if I provide you with their email addresses, would this be something you could resolve on your end? Perhaps by resetting?
I have searched other possible threads that have been posted regarding this issue, but I still can't seem to resolve it on my own...HELP!!

Hey there!
Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with student signups and Minecraft Education.
Just had a few questions to help us support you further:
1.) Is this a home network or school network?
2.) Is this a commercial account or school managed account?
3.) When you say "signed up", do you mean like, purchased their own Minecraft Education licenses? Or where did they sign up as an "educator"

Hey Kimberly,
I'm Caleb with the Minecraft Education Support Team! I'm happy to assist!
User roles are determined by other licensing users hold.
I would recommend reaching out to your IT Administrator/Department to ensure that you only have "for student" licensing.
If needed, we're happy to work with them on making sure you have the proper licenses.Let us know if you have any additional questions, or concerns!
Thanks,

Hello, Erin Hamilton
I hope everything is resolved. If not, here are instructions for the admin on your account.
go to office.com
choose the gear with admin (left panel)
choose user management (then choose the edit a user button)
(search by email for the user)
look at the Licenses and apps tabYou should see Office 365 for faculty checkbox and one for students.
Be sure the correct licensing is in place.
In other words, students should have Office 365 for students.
Minecraft sees this and gives them a MC account on that basis.Hope this helps!
