Your trial of Minecraft: Education Edition is complete
I have licences assigned to a number of accounts that have not expired yet. However, when students try and login to certain logins they get a message saying "Your school or organisation will need to purchase a licence for you to continue to use all features of Minecraft: Education Edition.
I work in a special needs school and this is really frustrating for the students. I am not an admin for Office 365 so I don't know if that might be it. I've tried to reclaim the licenses and re-issue them, but it only worked for certain accounts.
Help would be appreciated.

Hey there!
Sorry to hear you are running into some issues with licensing.
Are you administering them in Admin Center or Store for Education?
It sounds like the correct license is not assigned to the intended users.

Hi. I’m not an admin for our office 365 that is the IT manager, but I have administered them via store for education. They are definitely assigned to the correct account, but some of them don’t seem to be picking it up.

Hi, Daniel Williams - There are only a few possibilities.
1. They don't have an account set up. If they are registered in the Store (this is the last year for that, I understand) then they are good.
2. They misspelled their email, and the error message is misleading. Check the email address for them carefully.
3. Sometimes, there is a brief connection glitch, and they just have to try again. idk why, but if it happens twice , I move them to another seat. (rare.)
Hope this helps. Let me know; we want to help!

Daniel Williams Make sure you're not assigning users the trial license in the Store. You can tell if it's the trial (not needed, trials are now given to all AAD users) if it says X assigned out Unlimited. Real, purchased licenses will not say Unlimited.
