I'm sorry to hear you are having multiplayer issues. Some settings will need to be done with Palto Alto to clear up that communication. We do not have a specific guide for specific firewall setups, so it may be best to contact that company on how to allow list URLs in their firewall product. At this time ephemeral ports are being utilized so we are unable to send you a list of port numbers. We have found that adding a "no decryption" rule to the Palto Alto firewall for our app resolved some user's issues.

The majority of our URLs are CDNs so getting an IP for each one would be difficult and may change over time. It would be easier to get the IPs that the client communicates to using a PCap from your end, but the IPs still may change so it would not be ideal. Our IT Admin guide also lists the subdomains if that helps at all: FAQ: IT Admin Guide – MEE (minecraft.net). I hope that helps.

Thanks for the response.  As I stated we had the Palo Alto working with it last year and it was working fine.

I feel like changing IPs and URLs often is silly, no?  Being that schools, especially, have things locked down for student safety and privacy laws.  Making IT change their firewall several or even once a year is not ok.

We will check the URLs provided and see but as I mentioned we are not noticing anything showing blocked on the Palo Alto.

What is the reason for the Connection Info issue?  Showing a long number instead of the IP and port?

Its due to the back-end change that occurred. We now use a new service that uses that connection code for multiplayer.

So that code is normal now then?  It will not show the IP and port?

    Hey Evan!

Yup the code is normal now, it is a Connection ID not IP address anymore.

Thanks Danny.  We have been doing some testing.

We can connect chromebook to chromebook but cannot connect when a Windows device is in the mix.  We have been staring at Palo Alto logs and cannot see anything.

With the Windows firewall OFF I took a chromebook and a Windows laptop HOME to eliminate the Palo Alto.  It still does not work.  However, I got "Connection Time Out" along with "unable to connect to world".

No Windows firewall and no hardware firewall on the network.  What else could it be?

One thing to try is to allow list these two URLs and see if that helps the issue:
    World.relay.skype.com

    turn.azure.com

Let us know if that helps.
