Full Uninstall of M:EE 1.17.30.5
My child was super pumped to see M:EE release the 1.18 update. We are on Windows 10. However we got it installed but could not connect to any online servers. Inspection of the Apps list showed two versions of the program. I have been through every thread I could find and tried all solutions (uninstall, remove %appdata%, download the uninstaller for all versions, and the Program Uninstall troubleshooter). The only other possible option is using the Program Uninstall Troubleshooter and manually entering the 'product code' which I have been unable to find (a long serial number of numbers and letters inside brackets {} that look like those).
I'm super keen to get the program back up and running so I can play online with my daughter and would appreciate any assistance. I'm on AEST so hopefully replies will be around those hours. Thanks in advance.

Update. I used Revo Uninstaller to remove the old program. I now only have the 1.18 version on my PC. However I am still unable to connect to multiplayer. FYI I am playing with my daughter at home and we are on the same wifi/IP.

I am sorry to hear that multiplayer is not working. On August 9th we updated our services and in order to host or join multiplayer worlds, networks need to allow list a new URL. The new URL is https://*.minecraft-services.net/. If you don't know the process for allow listing in the network, you may need to work with your ISP for that procedure. Let me know if this helps or changes the issue.

Hi Dominick, I have contacted my ISP however they have been less than helpful. I am with Optus, which is one of the major ISP in Australia, so if this is an issue it should be effected a lot of other users nationally. Can you give me any further advice on how to sort this issue out myself?

This issue is affecting many users at this time. Can you let me know what your ISP was able to assist with? Instead of allow listing they may use the term whitelisting. We are unable to help with allow listing since there are numerous routers and ISPs that all use different methods to allow list URLs. I would say to google your router or modem and see if you can find an article outlining how to do this. Make sure to allow list: https://*.minecraft-services.net/, World.relay.skype.com and turn.azure.com.

They have been extremely unhelpful at this stage. Just running speed tests and 'have you tried switching it on an off again'. I have explained the issue regarding the servers but I'm not sure if they are really listening. Its quite difficult as none of the technicians seem to have English as their first language. It has been most disappointing for my daughter being unable to play together in the mean time. Are any changes expected from the Minecraft end to possibly resolve this?

Hey Brendan, sorry to hear about the trouble you are running into.
Try right clicking and "Run as Administrator" on the effected devices to see if that changes the issue at all.
Also if you have any virus protection programs like AVG or McAfee, you will need to allow list the URLs in those virus protection programs as well.
Keep us updated!

I've actually uninstalled all AntiVirus and turned off all firewalls. I've 'Run as Administrator' with no change.
I asked my daughter who said she cannot connect to anyone when they play at school either. I have followed all of the instructions of the ISP.
Are you getting complaints from other users in Australia saying this is a problem at all? There just seems to be no way to get it to work.

We have received reports from other users from Australia. Our Dev team and leads are working with the DoE and IT departments from that region to isolate and fix the issue. I am sorry for this issue and please bear with us.

Thank you. Any idea of how long something like this may need to troubleshoot?

With all the resources being used to try and find a solution it should be sooner rather than later, but there is no ETA with an issue that is this fluid.
