Why does it keep trying to sign in using Internet Explorer
When I try logging in, it says to use another browser other than internet explorer. I changed my defaults and it's still using Internet explorer. Anyone else having this problem? If so, what's the fix?

Hi Paul Agostini,
Can you clarify what you're trying to log into, and which operating system your computer is running?

Hi - I am having the same issue as Paul above logging into Minecraft Education for my daughter. I get the same "Microsoft Internet Explorer is no longer supported" when trying to login to Minecraft. See attached pictures for the issue on screen. She is connecting using her school credentials for the NYC department of education. There is also some sort of script error message that pops up (screenshot also attached)
I have tried to reinstall Minecraft education but that did not seem to fix the issue.
It had been working perfectly fine prior to about a month ago (co-inciding with Microsoft dropping support for internet explorer)

Hey there!
Sorry to hear you are getting this script error!
It is plaguing us all as well trying to solve it, you are not alone Ramesh.
Our current work around is to login to Minecraft: Education Edition website here:https://education.minecraft.net/en-us , then try to login hopefully bypassing this script error.
If you still get it, we will just need to hang tight for a solution, sorry!

Has anyone been successful with this script error? I'm also a NYCDOE teacher. I even tried downloading on my home laptop and still get the same error.

We still get the same error but I figured out that you can move that script error pop up window to the side with the mouse and just type in the login and password on the Minecraft screen at it seems to work

Good to know. Somebody mentioned to me to set up the IBM Security verify app and use that as my 2 step verification method and so far it seems to work

Ramesh Balachandran I've heard other reports from NYC DOE about this issue and it looks like your IT Admins are investigating. It sounds like they were able to resolve it for Karen so hopefully they're able to resolve yours as well.

I had been having some issues kinda like this when I was trying to apply the school/work account to some windows computers. I needed to set some things up in Azure to allow people to bring their own devices, otherwise it would not allow single sign on and was requiring logging into Microsoft every time to get into minecraft education edition.
