Hi Ron D Sorry for the trouble. In order to play Minecraft Education Edition, you need to sign in to the game, which is verified over the internet. Sometimes your computer is interrupted by something else going on, especially after a recent install. I would definitely try making sure all processes are finished, restarting the computer and giving it another shot. Be sure your internet is working (you know, do an internet search for something you don't usually search for, like cute puppies or llamas) and then try again!
