Minecraft education world is not available
I am trying my friend from India to join my world which I am trying to host in Minecraft Education Edition. I gave him the code that is on the screen so that he can join, but when he enters the code, he gets the message that my world is not available. How do I resolve this error? We both have Minecraft Education Edition. Mine is on Chromebook and his is on PC. Are there any settings that I need to change?

Hi Daksh Saxena,
Some questions:
1. Are you both at the same school (you need to have the same @domianname to join each others worlds).
2. Have you enabled port forwarding on your home router (host needs to do this)?
3. What kind of devices are you both using?
If you need instructions on point two, let us know.

Thanks Dan
No one account is for my son, and another account belongs to his cousin who is in India. They have different accounts. My son is using his chromebook and his cousin is using windows laptop.
I dont think I have enabled port forwarding on my home router, need to look into this.
Regards
K

Hello, Daksh Saxena - Welcome to our community! I'm so excited to hear about you making connections in Minecraft!
If you noticed in Dani Noble 's post, in question #1, he was asking about the accounts you are using. Please do remember that the domain names - that part after the @ sign - must be the same in oder to share a world in MinecraftEDU. Let us know how things are going. We are here for you!

Hi Debbie,
Thanks for your response. Yes in this case my son's has a different domain name and his friend has a different domain name. So there is a no way we can access each other's world?
Can we change the domain name?
I have another problem, when I created this profile, I gave my name to the character... now when my son logs in it is my name that shows up for the character. Is there a way to change this?
