*Problems with locating server*

I have problems because I want to play the multiplayer mode but it keeps loading, and my friend says I'm on the map but on my screen it says locating server

  It's not the internet or the version, another of her friends is playing on the map with her and she doesn't have any problems, I was able to play before but this problem started to happen out of nowhere

  The problem that we see most players run into when connecting to multiplayer from home is that certain ports need to be open on your machine to allow the Minecraft network traffic to pass through. The second paragraph of the Multiplayer guide goes into some detail about this. You can search the internet for guides on how to open a port on your particular device.
