What happened to the Task bar? And since that vanished, none of my remote students can sign into my worlds.
I'm not sure if the problems are actually related to each other but I've checked that the port forwarding is working and I don't know why my remote students are not able to get on any worlds I have hosted.

Yep, in the New post I added more detailed info specifically about the inability to connect and left out the stuff about the missing task bar in the title thinking perhaps that was causing a lack of assistance on this thread.

Ok, I'll post the update to this thread too.
This problem was something that came up suddenly after Saturday afternoon sometime.
I couldn't tell if it was something going wonky with our Internet, security software, Minecraft, Windows, or what. There seemed to have been an update to minecraft EE in there to confuse me even more.
Solution at this time seems to have been...
create a DMZ (demilitarized zone) on the xfinity router, for any device I want to be able to let outsiders connect to. Apparently just port forwarding is no longer enough anymore. And I have not been able to figure out any way to just whitelist all the necessary URLs with the xfinity router.
