Minecraft Education Version Problem

I am trying to play with friends who play on chromebook however they are on 1.17.31, and Minecraft Education for windows is 1.17.32. How might I install 1.17.31?

  In the Google Play store you should be able to update the game for Chromebook, Apple App Store for iPad -- or download it directly from the website if you are on anything else.

  I have the same problem. I can't update to 1.17.32 to play with friends who use windows and I use Chromebook. Is 1.17.32 realised for Chromebooks and can you join people from other schools? or even if you have different versions.

  You are able to join other players that have version 1.17. The last numbers won't prevent you from playing with each other. If someone has 1.17.30 and 1.17.32, they will still be able to play together. If you try to join someone on 1.18 while on 1.17 however that will not work and won't be able to connect.

  Nope not how its working for me and my friend rn he redownloaded Minecraft Edu and still on 1.17.31 (chrome Book) and I'm on 1.17.32 (desktop).
