Chat function doesn't work.

So, on multiplayer, the chat feature doesn't work. We get death messages, but no chats. Not even whispers or /say. I was wondering if there was a fix for this. It happens on every multiplayer world.

  To clarify, are you saying when you press the T key there is no chat box that comes up for you?

  No. The chat menu comes up fine, but whenever we try to chat it doesn't show up on the other people's screens. We've tested different things, but nothing has worked, we resorted to using signs to chat.

  It is possible that the chat was disabled for the tenant. Please check with your Teacher/IT department to find out if this was done within your schools' organization.
