Can't sign in
I can't sign in because Minecraft can't connect me to the service I need. What to do?!?!?!

This is a relatively common error for a general interruption in the log in process. It can have a variety of causes, but generally it is caused by something blocking the connection to our servers/services. First off, can you confirm that all of our URLs are on the allow list? If you're on Windows and has two versions installed (the desktop app and store version), that will also cause this error. Lastly, and especially on Chromebooks, it is common for proxies or web filters that are blocking Minecraft Education to cause this error.
Please clear out your internet cache and history as well. To assist further please let me know some things about your setup.
- What device / system are you playing on?
- What OS version are you running?
- Is this happening in the school network or at home?

hello! im having the same problem, i just wanted to know how proxies and web filters can block it and what they are? thanks:D

So, depending on what your school has setup will block the traffic. This is done all in the network and how they route the traffic. It could be extensions installed or protocols used. If you're the IT admin you can look at the back end and see all the filters if not, please contact your IT admin and see if they can look at it for you.
