Couldn't update Minecraft Education Edition to 1.17

My friends already updated their Minecraft education edition to 1.17 while I still can't.

I'm using window 7 32-bit (outdated version)

 

Solution I attempted:

1. Re-install the application

2. Restart the computer

 

If my O.S is the problem:

1. is my OS supported for this update?

     a. When window 7 (32-bit) will get an update?

  If you are unable to update your OS the download still might fail. You can download the installer from here: Download | Minecraft Education Edition. Once downloaded try moving the download file to you document folder and run with admin privileges. There is currently no fix for outdated OSs and no ETA. Hope that helps.

  I'd recommend installing Windows 10 on your system. Windows 7 licenses are still accepted for installing Windows 10 (plus you benefit from having a supported OS that receives security updates). You can created a bootable Windows 10 USB here. 

  I occasionally find on Windows 7 and 10 systems that you'll need to right-click on the installer and select "Run as administrator".
