M:EE iPad 1.14.50 canʻt import world or any assets.

Unable  to import a world or assets from any outside source (email, google drive, etc) I  have tried suggested workaround by saving it to "on my iPad" in the files and the import fails.  When will this be fixed?

  Our school has 7th gen iPads (less than 1 year old) running 14.4.  I will try on a non school device to test  if device management might be the issue.
