World isn't downloading
When I try to download the message I get is "level import failed: unsupported file format." I'm not sure how to fix it.

I still need more info from the questions. Where are you downloading the world from? What version of the game are you on? Is your HP up-to-date with the current Windows 10?

it is up to date with windows 10. I went to the minecraft education site and downloaded it from there. We already have minecraft downloaded on this comuper as my son already plays. When I click on the mr. fox world and download it, it downloads and automatically opens it in minecraft when it is finished and the above message is what I get.

What version of Minecraft are you trying to use? The current Minecraft: Education Edition is on 1.14.31. If you are trying to import one of our worlds to the Bedrock/Java version of the game or import a Bedrock/Java world into Education Edition they will not work and give that error message.

It is version 1.16.4002.0

That means you are not on Minecraft: Education Edition. That is the normal video game version which is the Bedrock/Java version. Worlds are not compatible between these versions as ours has features that the Bedrock/Java versions do not and has limitations that they do not because our version of Minecraft was designed for educators to use inside of the classroom. If you are wanting educational content for Bedrock/Java versions of the game I will link some info below for you.

Thank you so much! I will check those out. I would still like the educator version so I will go back through and try to download that again.

Not a problem. To qualify for Minecraft: Education Edition you have to have a valid Office 365 Education tenet (these are typically purchased by the district/school and given out to teachers and students at the beginning of the year). This version of the game is specifically designed to be used in a classroom led by a teacher so the licensing is a bit different than your standard version of Minecraft. I will link information on it for you:
