Eligibility for Minecraft: Education Edition and Office 365 Education
In order to login and purchase Minecraft: Education Edition an Office 365 Education account is required.
We require Office 365 Education accounts due to their security, availability and privacy. Office 365 Education provides powerful tools for students and educators that are always accessible and makes building your curriculum seamless and easy on Android, iOS or Windows devices.
Office 365 Education is available for qualifying academic organizations. You can check your eligibility and get an account setup here. If you are not eligible you can review the eligibility requirements for your country here. If you are not eligible and would like to apply please contact Office 365 support here.
The Minecraft: Education Edition team has no oversight into who qualifies for an Office 365 Education account, and unfortunately is not be able to answer any questions you have about qualification for Educational status.
