Assign trials after purchase
I'm using Minecraft: Education Edition with my coding students. I see my students on a marking period basis, so four times a school year, my student rosters change.
I originally installed them all on trial versions, including myself, and all was well until I used up all of my teacher trials. So I purchased a license for myself and assigned myself the license. My students still continued their trial accounts until the marking period was over.
However, I just noticed that as long as I have the paid license, I can't add or remove student trial accounts anymore. I'm thinking I have to release myself from my purchased license to be able to add/remove student trials again. However, I'm skittish about reclaiming my license as the confirmation prompt said something to the effect of, "Users will no longer be able to use Minecraft: Education Edition".
I was thinking I could reclaim, assign trials to my new students, and give myself back the paid license, especially since it's already paid for.
Am I overthinking things, or will this actually work the way I want it to?
Thanks for any insight,
UPDATE:
I tried to reclaim my license back into the pool, which is only 1 license.
With no one using the paid version, I am still unable to assign users (students, in this case) to the trial version. I was able to do this with no issue prior to purchasing a paid version.
I was, however, able to reassign myself to the paid version. However, with no way at this point of even adding my current marking period students (or next year's for that matter), I'm not sure how, if at all, to add new users to the trial pool.
This is disappointing. Maybe I'm missing something.

Hi Jeff, assignment only happens with the paid app. A student should be able to download and login with the trial, no assignment necessary
