Something's Up with the App and Windows Profiles
Since 1.12 launched, we're experiencing issues, district-wide with students being unable to launch the app from the desktop. As best as we can tell, this is tied to Windows profiles.
After logging into Windows, a student clicks the desktop shortcut and nothing happens. The app doesn't attempt to launch at all. When another user student or teacher logs in, it might (or might not launch).
Anyone else experiencing this? Solutions?

HI Lucas,
I don't know that I have seen anyone else with this exact issue. The fact that it is not launching for some and launching for others leads me to believe there is something to do with their login profile settings. If you submit a request we can examine this further.
Thanks!

Following the April 2019 v1.9.x update, I had to remove/install M:EE from/to each profile manually. Despite running the “remove all” option from the uninstaller via my admin login, I often still had to remove it again once the student logged in. I did this via a combination of uninstalling from the Start menu entries as well as through the Add/Remove Programs interface. It was a hit and miss process for each machine and each profile.
Check the path to the program from the app icons — maybe the icons are orphaned? Different installers were creating different entries in the Start menu — make sure you are trying to launch the updated version from the proper menu entry?
