How to download code from Makecode.
In old version I was able to download my code created in code connection app (it was the only way, how to get it from one computer to another). Now in the latest version of Minecraft, where I use only C button to open Makecode, I am not able to download my code. I can share it and then there is a download button. But most of my project says "Compilation failed, please check your code for errors". But I am sure, my code is OK and works fine in Minecraft. How can student share his project with me for assessment?

Hello,
You can export with a link.
Thanks!

Yes I can, but students can still change their code. If I want to take an assessment, I need proof for parents. Link is not enough. I need downloadable file to store it in my PC or OneDrive.

I've been working on using MakeCode to create some "cheat codes" that kindergarteners would use-- getting items or other "cheats" by typing their sight words into chat. I don't expect them to build code yet (though they might change some features of the given code), only to use the "chat cheats" I've set up. There are still some bugs to be worked out. https://minecraft.makecode.com/84652-03494-49172-39214
Checking my understanding:
- In a multi-player game, a MakeCode block of code (project?) activated on the server device is not sent to the other players. For a player to use the project, it must be pasted into the game on their device.
- If a MakeCode project is activated on a device and the game is saved, re-opening the saved game will not automatically activate the project. The user has to open MakeCode and activate it.
- Once pasted and used, a project will appear as an option in MakeCode.
Am I right?
Thanks
