Minecraft Bedrock wont open in Minecraft EE
I was able to do all of the necessary steps to get my Minecraft Bedrock World to transfer over to Minecraft EE but when I open it I get an error message. It something like "Can't open due to newer version" I would like to roll back my version but there is no easy way with Microsoft. Does any one have any ideas. I don't want to re-do a world that I spent days building

Hello Katie Heiler,
Thanks for posting. You would need to open the world in an older version of Bedrock.

Katie/Kyle,
I have seen this also for a v1.13 Bedrock edition world (i.e. could not open with Minecraft EE due to 'newer version' error), so I downloaded MCC ToolChest PE in order to be able to edit the level.dat file. For my world at least, simply deleting the 'MinimumCompatibleClientVersion' tag allowed me to then open the world in Minecraft Education edition (v1.12).
I am not sure this is sensible - I don't know if Minecraft EE will simply ignore tags it doesn't understand (i.e. ones from later versions) or if this could cause crashes etc.
Kyle - is it better to instead simply open the world in an earlier version of Bedrock (e.g. v1.12)? Will this then do the 'conversion', i.e. remove any non compatible tags?
Phil
