    Hey there!

Are you referring to a specific pre built world? If so you can just download multiple copies and label them something like Activity_Jonny.mcworld or Activity_Sammy.mcworld, then have them each work of their own worlds.

Let us know if we can help further!

    1. Can I create student accounts without using Microsoft e-mail?
    2. Let's say one student works on a specific lesson, and I want the next class of students coming in to do that same lesson. How can I make it so that the new incoming class of students start from the beginning rather than start where the previous students left off?
    3. How do I assign specific lessons? I'm under the impression that I can simply show the kids on my Smart TV how to access a given world or lesson.

I created my own account, but I get the impression that I need to buy licenses to create student accounts. If this is so, I need to know if multiple players can use my account, as I can't afford to pay for licenses out of pocket and I'd like to at least try Minecraft Edu in my. lab.

Also, when I log in I'm trying to select a lesson. I clicked on the heart to try one Hour of Code. What happens next?

    Hey Lee,

Your students will need to use the accounts created by your organization in order to play Minecraft Education.
Is there a reason why you are not wanting to use the school's user accounts?

Each student will be logging in with a separate account, so as long as the students are switching accounts, the worlds will automatically start from the beginning if it is that students first time in the world. Is this not the case for you? If not, make sure your students are signing out before leaving the device.

In regard to assigning lessons, give this article a look over: https://educommunity.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360061811171-Assign-or-Share-Worlds-and-Lessons
There are several options to choose from, and you can pick the option that best fits your needs!

    Hi, Ernie,

So when you say student accounts created by my school organization, are you referring to the e-mail addresses that the school assigned them ending with the suffix nycstudents, edu? I ask for two reasons. The first is that these aren't Microsoft accounts, and the second is that my kids frequently forget their e-mail addresses and passwords. I'd really like to find an easier way for them to log in. Do I need to purchase licenses for that?

    Thanks,

    Lee

    Hey Lee,

Assuming that the nycstudents.edu accounts are created within Microsoft 365 (and I'm assuming this because your tenant has purchased many licenses) they are indeed Microsoft accounts, so no worries there.
And no need to purchase anything else as it looks like your tenant already has Minecraft Education licenses!
Though, you may need to have your IT department enable them on your students accounts.
That said, your students would need to use their school email and password in order to log in. Maybe their information could be (securely) stored somewhere in the classroom so they could reference that information as needed
