Thank you for writing in. Can you tell me if these are school devices and if they have any network filter in place? In order to play together you must be part of the same school.

Hi, Janine. I'm so sorry for this trouble. So Minecraft looks like everything is okay, but when you use C to code, you go into the coding window - and that is showing up okay? But then you run code, and nothing seems to run? Is that what's happening? I definitely want to see you and your class up and running with coding! Let us know how things are looking.

Hi Debbie. What you described is EXACTLY what is happening!

Oh dear. I had that happen once upon a time. Can you try opening another world, resetting the editor, using another language (like block coding instead of Python for example?)

I had a world that just got funked somehow, and every world I opened after that was also baloney. But if I opened brand new worlds, I was okay. That was my only way out of the problem. It was just this crazy thing. I had no mods or anything. I think sometimes when you leave the world without saving, it gets messed up. Back-ups helped, but I spent a lot of time trying to figure it out. The help desk tried to figure it, but ultimately it wasn't reproduced in new worlds - which is a good thing. So I hope that if you do not open the old worlds at all, but only open new worlds, this will stop. But try all the strategies, and let me know.

    Hi Debbie,

I can certainly give this a try. That being said, it does pose a problem in that I was wanting to use the Coding Curriculum in my class. If I can't go back to the worlds I already opened trying to get the app to work, it will make it so we cannot follow the curriculum as planned. I did force an update to the Chromebooks and we did try the same and different worlds with no success. We have the issue in every world we've tried so far where we want to use coding. I'm persistent so we will keep trying, however I do wish there was a fix for this.
