I am sorry that the P2P error is occurring. We are still investigating the P2P issue and trying to gather information. To clarify, is your client version at 1.18.42? Please go through the following:

    1. Make sure that //*.minecraft-services.net/ has been allow listed through firewall and content filters
    • The signaling connections use wss://signal.franchise.minecraft-services.net
    • The STUN and TURN connections use turn.azure.com / world.relay.skype.com on the 20.202.0.0 / 16 IP range using remote TCP port 443 and remote UDP ports 3478-3481
    • The peer-to-peer connections between host and joining client use local ephemeral UDP ports specified by the host client (the local port range is defined by the OS) and sent to the joining client via the signaling service
    • Our system now uses ephemeral ports. They will need to be unblocked.
    1. Can you tell me if this is device specific or is this happening to everyone and how often?
    2. Try toggling celluar data setting to on with tablets, Chromebooks, android phones and iOS phones.
      1. It's a setting under Profile on all devices.

    Let us know your findings.

It does not show up when you click "Play" on the world. When you click on "Host", sometimes it does it.

    Hey all,

Just wanted to double check, does your network allow for ephemeral  ports?

Have all URL's been allowlisted from this page? IT Admin Guide

And do you get the same result on a different network?

    Let us know!

Click on play, when inside the world then host from there. It is the simplest way, it works for me. I'm on 1.18.45,

I got it to work by disabling ssl inspection in my firewall. I found that minecraft education was connecting to IP addresses that did not have an associated domain name so I could not add them to my ssl exemption list. This is not really a fix because it greatly diminishes the abilities of my firewall.

    Hey there Rick,

Thanks for sharing your fix! Hopefully that will help others that come across this page. Sorry it diminishes the firewalls abilities.

    Hi There Danny,

How about instead of sorry it diminishes the firewall wall. You say that makes sense I will put in a request with my team to make sure all the of the IP's Minecraft education uses has a domain name. Then add those domain names to the list of published domain names. Then I can set my firewall to ignore ssl inspection on those domains.

I am sorry for this Rick, but at this time we use wildcards on the backend. Hopefully it will be something added in the future. We have made the Devs aware of this limitation.

I can enter wild cards into my system I just need to know what I need to allow through.

Please reference these two articles that we have available:

Yea I have added all of those the issue is I found IPs that don't have resolvable domain names. 167.172.26.62 is an IP address that minecraft education uses. If you do an nslookup on it it doesn't come back with a domain name I either need a list of IP addresses or I need all of the IP addresses to resolve to a hostname.

This is the only list of IPs that is available.

    1. Make sure that //*.minecraft-services.net/ has been allow listed through firewall and content filters.
    • The signaling connections use wss://signal.franchise.minecraft-services.net
    • The STUN and TURN connections use turn.azure.com / world.relay.skype.com on the 20.202.0.0 / 16 IP range using remote TCP port 443 and remote UDP ports 3478-3481

    • Our system now uses ephemeral ports. They will need to be unblocked.

Let us know if any of this helps.

Every time I host my world it says P2P/SIG: no_session(3)

What is some option to try to make my host work again?

    Hey there,

This is an issue the test team is working towards a solution for and is getting closer and closer to one.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the patience for this.

What mods? I am having this problem with my and my friend's accounts, they have the same error screen. P2P/SIG no_session(3), is there anything I can do to fix this?

    Hey there,

Thanks for your patience with this error, the test team is still investigating.

Otherwise, if you do have any mods installed, it would be recommended to remove them to see if that fixes the issue like Evan recommended.

Hey! Thanks for responding back, when do you think it will be fixed?

I do not have mods, I just downloaded it the other day, and before. This error was not happening, but now it is happening to all my friends that play Minecraft Education Edition.
