Minecraft EDU shield glitch

When I equip a shield, and I try to take it off, it glitches and then I can't take it off. I don't know if it's happening to other people, but I would like it fixed please.

  Thanks for the bug report, is this happening on a downloaded world or one you created or both?

  Do you have any mods installed?

  Oh, this has been happening on our Minecraft Club world, too! I keep forgetting to report it because I've been using /clear on the students with permashields to get rid of them.

  I seem to recall that this was sporadically an issue on 1.17 as well.
