Not able to join Minecraft education world
Hello,
I have installed Minecraft Education Edition on my son's Chromebook with latest version. My son's friend also has same version of Minecraft Education Edition but he is using his Windows computer. We have tried several times to join each other's world but we are not able to to do so.
I also tried installing Minecraft Education Edition on Macbook, but still not able to join my son's friend's world.
Do we need to be on the same WiFi network?
Do we need to be on same platform like both on Chromebook or Windows or MacOS?
Could you please help us?
Thanks and regards

Hey there!
Thanks for reaching out.
Were these commercially issued licenses or licenses from a school?
And if they were from a school, Does your son and son's friend go to the same school?
And to answer your questions -
Do we need to be on the same WiFi network? No
Do we need to be on same platform like both on Chromebook or Windows or MacOS? No1 -
Hi Danny,
These are licenses for personal use. I have purchased license for my son to work on MEE on his chromebook and his friend's parents have purchased a license to for him to work on his PC. Since each has their own account, domain names are different too.
School doesn't has setup for MEE. My son and his friend goes to same school though.
Regards

Ah I see Daksh!
Thanks for the info. This is working as intended. Only those on the same domain can join each other. This allows for safer worlds for the students by protecting against unwanted visitors. If they would like to join each other, their accounts must be on the same domain.
Hope that helps!
