    Hi Laura Simm1235

Most larger worlds I've seen usually don't go above 50mb, although in theory, I've never seen an official limit posted.

Have you tried exporting it and opening it on a different device?

What device are you currently using? I'm just wondering if a system with more resources might be able to open it (assuming it's not a corruption issue).

  • Hi, Yea I use a Dell computer with Windows 11 and I did export it to a friend who tried and the same thing happened. I also don't think it got corrupted because I never clicked out of the tab, I always saved and quit

Corruptions can be caused by all sorts of things, unfortunately.

Are you using any resource packs, mods etc with the world?

Do you have any backups that you exported prior to it not opening?

On Minecraft Bedrock Edition which MCEDU is based off there is no actual world file size limit theoretically you could go into the GB and be fine. However the bigger the world the longer it will take to load and larger file sizes ~300MB+ tend to corrupt very easily. If you are concerned I would recommend you just make a backup of the world file.
