Is it possible to create new animal types with Python?
I'm starting to teach my child Python with Minecraft Education Edition, and I have a question about what is possible with this. She is motivated to create new types of animals and I have been unable to find any lessons/tutorials that would suggest this is possible. Is it? If so, could someone point me towards an example or documentation? I have enough experience with Python that it need not be a worked out tutorial, though that would be great, if one exists.

It is delightful to engage with the creative minds of children, isn't it?
I am unaware of any way to create new "mobs" - but perhaps she could build a special habitat or enclosure - or create a pixel art drawing from wool blocks? I am sure the idea in her mind id much better than those alternatives, but maybe she can come up with something she can enjoy instead.
I spent quite awhile trying to spawn every color of axolotyl, for instance. =] Good luck!
