Can we look at this from another direction? I am not sure that chat is set up for sending links, but can we communicate your link another way? Like in the new classroom feature, or with an NPC?

Or is it necessary to use chat for your idea?

To add to what Debbie Alexander said.  (ok this Idea would require some extra work on the back end ahead of time to create the Dialogue files) you can use a command to cause an NPC Dialogue to pop up to anyone at any time provided the NPC is in a ticking area and within range of the player you want the Dialogue to pop up for.  Here is documentation for the NPC Dialogues https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/minecraft/creator/documents/npcdialogue

So you can set up a command block to broadcast a message, (see picture below) It uses the /tell @p with the link in quotation marks. (It is a little cleaner with /gamerule commandoutput off. However, you can simply use the "say" command in game chat and accomplish the same thing. =] Students would still have to write the text themselves.

Good news! The classroom links in settings seems to be editable in game! In other words, you can have one link available when you begin the game, and another link that you change to later! Simply use the say command to alert students to the change!

    See below!
