This would be a helpful setting in worlds where students are expected to produce results with code, but could easily simulate results by building. For example, if I were requiring students to write code to build a wall, and send me a picture of their wall, they could just give up, build a wall, and send me the pic. If they were only able to code to build, this would provide accountability. It's an interesting idea, especially if it were able to be turned on and off, or enabled and disabled in areas, like a deny blocks effect. Laylah Bulman

Essentially, you would set adventure mode for the player, but not the agent, I suppose.

I am actually thinking I like the Idea of an special status effect since it is probably less trouble to make a special education edition "require_agent" status effect that it would be to create a whole additional game mode and sets of permissions.

One could use scores and tags to affect what regions the agents could be allowed in and in regions that you allow the Agents you can also apply the effect.  Right now I'm planning to set up a survival world area to require agent use since I have one Student that REALLY wants that challenge.  However, the only thing I can do at this point is require they use the agent for mining/breaking blocks.  This particular student loves to use the agent so he would probably try to do as much as he can using the agent but I have other students that are going to do their best to avoid using the agent.

My Biggest issue is that the Agents are able to break bedrock even when the player is in survival mode.  Which means I must line the area Under where ever agents are allowed with allow blocks above the bedrock to keep the students from getting and placing the bedrock (or I have to disallow destructive Items to keep them from placing bedrock,) since as long as the players don't have wb status, the agents can't break them.

I really want to have an "agent_required" effect.  Basically like the player is disabled and must have their agent do everything that it is able to do for them in the game.  That way we are not actually giving the Agent any permissions beyond what the player would normally have.  We are simply putting an effect on the player.

In the mean time, are there any methods people can think of that would keep the player from farming?  I suppose we could clear all hoes from the player so they can't create farmland and must use the agent for that.  But how do we keep the player from harvesting and planting on their own.

Is there any way to create a behavior pack that would do what I'm trying to do, create a effect that stops the player from building or farming?
