Minecraft Education Edition Freezes upon opening (iMac)

Hello,

Minecraft Education Edition won't open on our iMac (it freezes at various points during the opening screen). It appears to be related to logging in to the school account. We have to Force Quit in order for the software to stop.

  I am having the same problem. Restarting the computer, force quitting repeatedly, or exiting fullscreen/quitting programs does not seem to help.
