    Hi Jerry,

The tcp/udp port forwarding is really for only if you're trying to host. Signing in is another issue entirely. Given that you're having the same problem on a few different networks, I'd say there's an issue with your installation of Minecraft.

First step I'd try is uninstalling and re-installing the application. Can you try that (if you already haven't) and let us know how you get on?

    Hello,

I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it at school, but it doesn't work still. It still comes up with the same message "We can't connect to the service you need right now. Please check your internet connection and try again." and if I press the button under it that says, "sign in", it just says the same message over and over.
Minecraft Edu works for my sister and lets her sign in, so I don't know what's happening.

    Please help me

Hi there Ella Micallef. I'm going to move this post to our technical support forum.

Can you let me know if your sister is connecting from a different device, and likewise, if you're able to connect to your account on a different device as well?

    Hello,

My sister is connecting to Minecraft Edu on a Macbook Air as well and it works for her. My Macbook Air is the same as hers and mine doesn't work. I only have one device which is my Macbook, so I don't know if it works on anything else.

    Sorry for the time

I'm also not even able to sign in to my account because it pops up with the same message over and over when pressing the "sign in" button under the message. I open the app and the same message comes up before i even have the chance to enter my loggin.

    Hi Ella Micallef

What version of Mac OS are you running? How old is the system?

In my experience, MacOS doesn't do a particularly good job of uninstalling programs; leaves a lot of orphan files hanging around that will cause problems with re-installations. You might have to use your Finder to hunt down and delete any of these. I know there are some 3rd party apps for Mac that will do a better job of uninstalling programs, so you may want to research some of those options.

    Other possible options:

Have you tried using the Time Machine to roll your computer back to a point where Minecraft did work?

We've come across similar issues on Windows. In some cases (and I know this isn't ideal) a complete re-install of computer worked to fix the issue... clearly in these cases the system was in pretty bad shape.

Hi there, I am having the same error message, and so are my students when we are trying to organise MEE activities via our Google Classroom during our COVID lockdown. Can you please give some guidance on how to fix this error?

    Hi Ruth Sammons

What devices are you using to run Minecraft Education Edition?
