Crashing on M1 Macbooks
The splash screen loads all but the last couple of bars and freezes.
Have tried reinstalling, removing all cache/data from the Mac, resetting the MacOS to no avail.
Anyone else have this problem?

That is very odd -- and it is true on every single M1 Macbook that you own?

Bryan Sanders (archived) I've only seen it happen on this girl's Macbook Air, we tried it on another students Macbook Pro and it didn't seem to affect it.

Strange -- if you cannot duplicate the error, then something is wrong with that machine -- but still, it is very unusual. Any chance there is security software on it?

Bryan Sanders (archived) The only thing i can think of is a parental control software by the name of Familyzone that is designed to cut off internet to various apps at certain times but even when i reimaged the macbook and didn't install FZ, the app still froze up.
It's been so long now i cant remember if we did a full system restore or just reinstalled the OS.

Hello. We have the same problem in our school. One student has M1 and Minecraft won't load. It freezes at 90% or when sometimes it happens to load, the graphics practically won't move.

That problem is what was happening on my students M1,
Got to 90 percent then freezes.0
