JavaScript Error
Let me preface by saying I know that Java is not supported, but I am desperate to find an answer to this. We just installed Minecraft for Education in our district, and when the teacher tries to launch it they get JavaScript errors, as shown in the attached picture. Whether they choose yes or no it says that JavaScript is blocked or the browser does not support it. There is nothing blocking JavaScript in group policy, and I have checked our internet filter and nothing is blocked there. It is of note that our Admins can run it of course, but so can students without issue. There is only one teacher for this, so I can't say if it's just an issue with their account or not. If anyone has any ideas I (as well as the teacher and our tech team) would be very appreciative!
These are the version numbers for the installs:
Device is an HP ProDesk 400 G5 SFF, also tried on Dell Optiplex 3010
OS is Windows 10, 1903
Minecraft for Education version 1.14.50 x86
Java version 8.31, also tried with 8.71

Hello,
You don’t need Java installed. JavaScript is a totally different language that is used on the web. The name is similar unfortunately but it is different.
You should focus your troubleshooting on the browser and settings it might have to block JavaScript.
Hope this helps,
chris

Hi there Erin Wornick. I recommend enabling Javascript in your browser and then try running it again as Chris Denesha has mentioned. If you still keep getting this error, please open up a ticket with us at https://aka.ms/MEE_New_Request

I was able to figure this out. I not only had to fully allow Java scripting, but also active scripting. Previously they were both set to prompt.
Thank you!!
