Sleeping in beds to skip night doesn't seem to work in Multiplayer

  • Were you also in a bed? If every single player is not in a bed at the same time, I know that night will not end. Otherwise I don't know about Classroom mode.
Unfortunately, the short-term solution might just have to be manually changing it, but I 100% understand why that sort of defeats the purpose of having everyone go back to get into their beds in the first place.

Every player that was in the world was in a bed including the "host" account computer which is a student account that I had hosting the world.  My Teacher account was NOT in the world though I did have classroom mode on from a separate computer than the Host account.

My main complaint about using a "host" account or my teacher account to host a world for survival challenges was the whole sleeping in beds issue but the few times I've tried anyway getting everyone to sleep didn't seem to be working.

This is yet another reason I want to see a Minecraft EE dedicated server software for allowing students to work on continuing long term collaborative projects and Have the ability to log what goes on.

  • I agree that servers would be really helpful. Especially that they can join without it having to be actively hosted. I'm running my survival classroom from my computer with my teacher account (we're 100% remote currently) so I'm hoping we don't run into the sleeping at night issue... Especially with the phantom attacks. Those really suck.

I haven't used classroom mode yet and maybe I won't bother trying to do so. But I really do wish there could be actual servers. That would really make things so much easier.
