How do I get my recording playing when a pressure plate is pressed?

Instead of the sound files used in the created world, I added the sounds I recorded with the same name.

Ah, yes that is one way.
Now if you don't want to mess with existing sounds in the game. Here is what I found that worked to let me add spelling words to be played using the /playsound command
If you want the sound to only play once and not loop, make sure you change the Stream to false in the sound_definitions.json file
