Also, make sure the teacher, or whoever is hosting the world, opens the port as Bryan suggests.  This guide will walk them though the process:  https://aka.ms/Multiplayer_home

Another thing to check is that all of the service URLs that Minecraft: Education Edition uses are allowed to pass through your network.  The guide above has more information about this.

Thank you Penny ! I read through your link.  I have had several students who are able to join my world but some of them were not able to join.  I am hosting using a Mac and students are joining with iPad or Macs as well.  If a student gets the error message "Unable to join world" and other students don't could that be a problem with port forwarding on my end or is it more likely that there is something wrong from their end?

Bryan Sanders (archived) Penny I have am not experienced with opening up port forwarding.  Reading through the article made sense but when I got into my router configuration site it is asking for more information than the article suggested.  This is what I see.  Any advice to open port forwarding would be appreciated.  I would hate to mess anything up.

Bryan Sanders (archived) thank you for the video!  It's really helpful to see this in action.

Daniel Moore this is what makes these conversations tricky.  Each router and ISP has different ways to enter the information.  It looks like your setup is a bit less user friendly than Bryan's.  My best advice is to contact support for your ISP or router system and get the specific info about which of these fields is used for each piece of information.

JamieBuzz 21 the community is here to help!  Feel free to start a new thread in the forums about your project and what you need help with.  Two great forums that would be a good place to start this discussion would be I need help playing  or Lesson Planning .
