Install Problems? One Solution
We have been trying to install Minecraft EDU for some time, but we are a small group and when we have had problems, we have simply moved on to the easier or more pressing problems to solve. Because we had not started using Minecraft EDU, it was not one of our priorities. Thanks to a capable high schooler who cared to spend the time looking at it, we found the answer that let us complete the install. Now, I haven't gone on and done the logins, but at least the install completed properly.Symptom: Upon execution of the installation .bat file, received errors. The solution is simple, but because we didn't have a quick answer, it stumped us for some time. Our auto updates for Windows 10 were not being received. We had to make sure all the OS updates were made, then we were able to do the install.
The latest update was quite robust, so it took some time and many restart cycles, but after we updated to the new version, everything was great!
