    I'm not sure you saw our reply here (https://education.minecraft.net/discussion/creating-server-as-a-teacher) but we're happy to repost it here:

    If your school domains are set up so they are not on the same educational tenant, then this sort of problem can occur. Your network administrator would be able to help you sort this issue, or provide you with a log in you can use specifically for Minecraft.

    Additionally if the game's host machine has been connected to the network for an extensive period of time, it's important to remember that periodically you would need to refresh the network connection (which would allow incoming connections). Multiplayer worlds in Minecraft: Education Edition are ideally designed for temporary, local connections, making it best when used for classroom length sessions.
