Join Code Errors -- but only on one tenant
I've got three tenants I use for Minecraft Education, and on one of them I'm now getting join code errors. The other two are generating join codes without issue.
I've experienced times where one or more of my tenants have been unable to generate join codes but other have (it's not always the one that's currently giving me trouble), and in the past they've usually resolved themselves. But:
- This is the third day. It's not constant -- I was able to generate them again yesterday afternoon. But it keeps happening.
- This tenant has been implementing new security protocols this week requiring things like InTune to use Office on mobile devices.
I'm working from home, so I'm on my own desktop and my home network. And I know that ME is working on multiplayer issues at the moment. So I'm trying to suss out if this is an effect of the multiplayer tweaking (is anyone else having this happen right now?), or if this could possibly be an effect of the tenant's security tweaks, and if it's the latter, what do I need to address with them?

Hey there Sarah!
We did have Azure issues Monday that were quickly mitigated, but that may have played a factor in the inconsistency.
Also, I would double check that all URL's allowlisted. From - URLs Used by Minecraft: Education Edition – Minecraft: Education Edition Support on antivirus and firewalls
Additionally, another possibility could be a brief disconnect perhaps. I would recommend clicking the "stop hosting" button and rehosting.
Hope that helps!

Hi Danny,
It was on and off Monday, Tuesday, and today. My home network is all whitelisted. Would there be anything tenant-side my IT department would have to do? (I'm working exclusively on the home network, not any work networks).0 -
Hey Sarah,
Thanks for the info.
Yeah I would recommend your IT department check out those URLs to allow through proxies / content filters / firewalls, especially if you need to connect through a VPN.
