Minecraft EDU runs out of storage space Error !
Hello
After the latest update of Minecraft EDU version I started to get a "Minecraft ran out of storage space" Error on my larger levels. My levels are about 1.4GB big as they are replicating the city in which our school resides in. Before the last update which had expanded the floor and ceiling of new Minecraft EDU Worlds, my levels where working fine. I am wondering if there is a way to over come this error or at-least go back to the earlier version of the game. It would be a pity if nothing could be done since we have made considerable progress for our study. The bug manifest in two ways. The first way is when minecraft starts generating a new map on top of our old one. The second way is when it gives me the error mentioned above and completely corrupts the map. After this I cannot load the map.

I am sorry to hear about your worlds. It sounds like the newer version is not compatible with the worlds that were made on an older client. I would try to export the worlds to an external source and then re-import them to see if that helps resolve the issue. You can also export them all and only import one at a time to work on since space is limited. I hope this helps.

Thanks for your response, I already tried doing so like you said, but the same thing happens. Is there a limit for the size of the worlds in which they are stable? That would help me to at-least know what size world we will be able to use in our projects. Also maybe it is possible to go back to an older version somehow?

Hey Rokas,
Are you on an Apple device by chance?
I have heard of some users having storage space issues, then freeing up at least 100GB of free space on their drive, and it ended up working after that.
Let us know!

Hello Danny
I am on a Windows device. It has a lot of free space left, over 2 TB actually, so for me its really weird that minecraft is saying its running out of Storage space.
