Can some one please explain how the new connection info method of connecting is supposed to make things better?

    Sure Aleece!

It is a necessary piece to involve the Android community into Minecraft: Education Edition for the backend.

Additionally, there is movement away from the IP addresses for added security.

Any chance of making it possible to copy the Connection Info (doing it by had just means it is likely to have mistakes and therefore not work.)  The fact that it changes every time the world is opened means that I have to carefully type out the number and then I need to post it some where but I then need to go to another computer and try to connect using that number on ANOTHER account BEFORE I tell the students.  When there are connection issues happening and Minecraft makes me restart minecraft and the number changes again, it is causing difficulty getting students into the shared worlds.
I liked the IP and port method because I could set a static IP and use port forwarding so that students could connect to the right world based on which port they input and that wouldn't change when a restart was needed.
Now I have to go through the whole set up multiple times whenever the power flickers.

In some ways this has sacrificed the ability to connect consistently or at all to security.  The fact that we can't do a dedicated server is frustrating, now taking away the ability to use the IP address and port means we are even further from being able to approximate a dedicated server using a regular game client.

I so want a dedicated server that I could use a white list to ONLY ALLOW certain student accounts into the world.
