Minecraft education disappeared from my windows....
I opened my computer today and I find out that Minecraft education uninstalled itself from my computer or something! It's like it never existed. I tried reinstalling it but the installer crashes and say an error "Failed to write in file[File name]
Error: access is denied."
What can I do to fix this?

Hey there,
Sorry to hear, are you on a school managed license or a personal one?
Can you send a screenshot of your error you received?1 -
The screenshot is too big so I'm sending a google doc file

I am using a school managed license, but I've stopped using it a bit because of homework

Thanks for the screenshot!
If you have permissions on the device, try uninistalling it completely (back up any worlds first)
Then redownload from the Windows Store (https://education.minecraft.net/en-us/get-started/download)
Link looks like this at the very bottom of the screen:
Let us know if that works for you!
Otherwise you will need to reach out to your school's IT

Consider downloading and installing as administrator, also.

The thing is, it already uninstalled itself completely from my device so the worlds are gone too. Also, I tried to redownload from windows store and the same thing happened

Installing as an administrator worked! Thanks

Thank you Danny and Debbie, I had the same thing happening on numerous occasions the last month (on a variety of our laptops). Although your advise resolved the issue... can someone provide an explanation as to the reason (and if any exist its preventative measures). In our instance it creates havoc when upon switching, on before a class, half the laptops renders this error. Thank you Regards

Glad to hear it worked for you Emile.
As for explanation or reason, the team is still investigating.
Thanks for your patience!
