Minecraft EE - Sign In Issues
Kia ora Minecraft EE,
We are currently having intermittent issues with students logging into Minecraft for Education. Their school accounts are provisioned through Google into Azure and the devices they are using are Chromebooks. Some students aren't able to login as when the Google authentication windows pops up, it instantly closes and restarts MEE and finally shows an error "We can't connect to the service you need at the moment. Check your network connection or try this again." This does not occur for all students.
I have tried updating ChromeOS, Android System WebView and MEE as well as power washing the affected devices
Any help would be much appreciated :)

Isaac Keelty - Hi, sorry for this issue popping up for you. I have been known to juggle a Chromebook to two in my day. =] I do not know the resolution to the problem (maybe someone more knowledgeable will pop in and help.) But these are the work-arounds which have kept class going for me:
- You don't have to sign in on a Chromebook on account #1 to get into Minecraft in account #2 - what this means is that if the source of the problem is the student's logins, you can log them on on a working account, or a placeholder account, and try that.
- Some Chromebooks just gave me trouble connecting, and I put a sticker on them. I found that they were actually having trouble with the access point in that part of the building. I got a network cable with an adapter, and with a hard-wired connection, they were able to connect. Sometimes they only needed to connect this way for a minute and them wifi worked.
- If you are coding, they can always scoot over the minecraft.makecode.com =]
- Let us know how things go!
