To clarify you used a downloaded resource pack with the client, correct? If that is what happened, you will need to reinstall Minecraft Education. If users download mods or texture packs, this can cause issue with the client or worlds. The only way to fix this is to uninstall deleting the mods and game files and then reinstalling to resolve the issue.

It is possible so make sure you export any worlds you want saved and then after the reinstall you can import them back: Import, Export, and Manage Worlds – Minecraft: Education Edition Support.

I have the same problem.  I signed up my son as a second use on my laptop which has a MS 365 account.  When authenticating my login, it reads:

This error has everything to do with the Azure authentication method.  The default setting is to use the Authenticator App.  Azure is not easy to navigate, so I submitted a help request to guide me through the process.  I thought I had the email thread outlining the process, but it's not there.  Anyhow, there's a way to disable the default athentication method, and use email or text to receive a 6 digit numerical code for authentication.

So yes, they need to fix this, but I was very thankful that their help center was so responsive and kept with the problem until it was solved.  Good Luck.

I am having this error too. It isn't to do with any resource packs as I don't have any resource packs set globally on that computer or account.  This is a script error on the authentication page.

Ok I have discovered an article that has a work around for this problem.

Script Error upon signing into Minecraft: Education Edition

    Workaround

Exit the app and log into our website with the same email address that you log into the app with. Then launch Minecraft: Education Edition app and try logging in again.

I would not say that the problem is "fixed" but at least there is a work around.  My only question is will I be needing to do this ALL the time for that account now?

And I see one major drawback to that work around, what if the account belongs to a young student?  When you log into our website it asks for confirmation that you are over 18 years old.  Is this going to cause issues if this error starts showing up on actual minor student accounts?

After working my brain off like a demon I was able to get around the error with enough tries. But I do not think it might work the same for you guys.
