Update latest version of Classroom mode January 2022
Hello,
I am trying to learn how to use Minecraft for Education with my class. However, I am having a lot of trouble using the free version. I would like to know how my students will get into the game and how to play it before applying to the school to buy a license.
I have also tried to download the Classroom mode version, but it tells me that the version has to be updated by the developers.
Please any help on my next steps?
I appreciate any help.

Hi Diana Jara,
I just replied to your other post.
Minecraft Education Edition can be installed on iPads, Chromebooks, Macs and Windows PCs. Whether you'll be able to install it or your students will be able to install it depends on whether they're using personal devices, or whether they are using school owned devices (most school owned devices will have restrictions that will prevent installation of unauthorized software). So if you are using school devices, you will need to have a conversation with your IT department.
Classroom mode is a classroom management tool used for when you are hosting a world and having students join. I don't imagine it will work if you're not licensed to use Minecraft Education Edition.
