Not sure this is the right fix, but prior to hosting, I copy the world within Minecraft EDU, delete the world file the student cannot join, and then host the new one. You could wait to delete the "bad" one, but I've done this before with success.

  • Thank you for your answer, but it did not fix the problem. It is something with her user, because I logged her in on my Ipad and that did not help. I logged in with my user on the same Ipad and I could join the world.

I would check with your registrar to see if that student has been added to a limit access group or something like that, that your organization might have setup.

  • Thanks. I have done that as well, but they couldn't find anything. She has been in the world before and if I make a new world she can join that one. So I have no idea what's wrong. She logged in as another pupil, so she could build with the rest of the class. Now we have finished building in this world, so this problem will probably still be a mystery...

We have also seen this issue with cached files. One fix to try is to delete the user's cookies and history (change the option at the top to All of time). If that doesn't work, you can try deleting the user's profile from the device. Make sure you export any worlds you want saved from that profile before doing this. Importing and Exporting Your Worlds
