Code Connection is Connected but not Working
Minecraft for Windows v1.18.2
Code Connection v1.50
I purchased Minecraft from the Windows Store and installed it. I downloaded and installed Code Connection for Minecraft.
I load Minecraft and open My World. I then load Code Connection and copy the ip address. I use the terminal command and copy the /connect <ip> command in and hit return. Minecraft leaves terminal mode and acknowledges the connection to Code Connection.
Next, I select MakeCode as the editor. I follow the Chicken Rain tutorial and all appears in order. However, when I go back to Minecraft, hit t and enter the command 'chicken' (per the tutorial) nothing happens. I see the command acknowledged in Minecraft but no command is executed.
I have not changed any firewall settings, assuming it was not necessary since I am only running a local server. Help for Code Connection is non-existent. What can I do to get this up and running?
Thanks,
Greg

Thanks for reporting this, I've forwarded this info to our team. We'll look into this and see if we can figure out what's going on. In the meantime, you could try uninstalling and reinstalling the Code Connection app to see if that works.

Greg Hanson The team wasn't able to reproduce this issue locally, as the chicken spawned when they tested it. One thing they mentioned though is to ensure you have clicked the Play button in MakeCode, as that is required for Code Connection / Bedrock, whereas that may be easy to overlook if you're used to codebuilder in Minecraft: Education Edition. Let me know if that helps resolve the issue!

Justin, the Play button was the culprit. I did not realize it was needed as I assumed I was "playing" within Minecraft, itself.
This will get me back in the good graces of my grandchildren. Thank you very much!

Greg Hanson I'm glad that worked! And I'm glad we've restored your credit with your grandchildren haha Have a great week!
